Lockdown has now been relaxed enough and Sports Massage Therapists have been given the green light to return to work. Therefore, I am now ready to make appointments. There will be some changes in the process both before and during each session, to help ensure both yours and my safety.

Before you leave your home consider if you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms. If yes to any of those questions, please postpone or cancel your appointment.

If you are a first-time client, a consultation form will be emailed for completion. You will be asked to complete and return so a pre-session phone call consultation can take place prior to your appointment. This is to keep face to face contact to a minimum.

If you are an existing client there will be a short update consultation via text or phone call to see how you have been since pre lockdown. This again is to keep face to face contact to a minimum.

All clients will be emailed a declaration form to complete regarding their exposure to Covid-19. This can be signed & brought on the day or emailed beforehand. Please bring you own pen if you need one. If you are considered a high-risk client, it may not be possible to massage you at this time.

Please bring your own water.

Unfortunately, toilet facilities will not be available for use.

All clients are required to wear a mask throughout the visit. If you do not have one, you can purchase one on arrival at the cost of £1. Please advise me prior to your visit if you will require to purchase one.

Please wear easy to remove clothes. A plastic chair will be provided for you to put them on when you undress. Please avoid wearing jewellry as this makes the process simpler.

When you arrive, you will be required to take off your shoes. Hand sanitiser will be available on arrival and all clients will be expected to sanitise their hands on arrival and when they leave the premises.

Please avoid touching any surfaces within the practice.

The massage table will have been thoroughly disinfected. The linens are all clean and towels are single use.

As your therapist I will be using personal protective equipment – until the requirement relaxes.

When the massage is over, please leave all the linens and towels on the massage table.

Payment ideally should be made by contactless payment.

There will be a minimum of 30-minute gap between clients, to enable disinfection of the practice space, therapy table and equipment, hallways etc, with enough time to dry and take effect.

I hope this explains the processes which have been put in place to ensure your safety. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or require clarity over any of the new procedures.
